Transaction Policy
The current commercial framework for dealer payments, deposits, cancellations, export and delivery. Each confirmed order states its final figures.
Policy version 15 September 2026Price and service fee
The item amount is the amount shown in the accepted auction result or order confirmation. Unless a more specific accepted document says otherwise, the Japan Brand Auction service fee is 5% (tax included) of the amount COCO must pay to the upstream auction operator. This is not described as a percentage of the hammer price where the upstream payable amount differs.
Membership fees, buyer-ID rental, domestic handling, international shipping, insurance, customs duties, taxes, payment-provider fees, bank charges and foreign-exchange costs are separate unless the invoice expressly includes them.
Payment method and timing
The available payment route is shown on the invoice or secure payment request. It may include an approved bank-transfer route or card payment through the payment provider made available for that order. We do not ask a Dealer to send card details by email.
A successful bid remains binding. The website's payment deadline begins only after COCO confirms the complete payable amount and issues the payment request. The Dealer must complete the required payment step within 24 hours after that confirmed request, unless the accepted invoice states another deadline. For a non-instant transfer, proof of an irrevocably submitted transfer may be requested within that period; the order remains unpaid until cleared funds are confirmed. The Dealer must ensure the net amount received is sufficient after intermediary bank, transfer and foreign-exchange charges.
Security deposit
A refundable security deposit may be required as security for the Dealer’s overall buying limit. It is distinct from prepayment for a particular item. The binding amount, due date, buying limit, permitted use and return timing must appear in the Dealer’s signed onboarding schedule; no amount is fixed by this public page.
Following breach, COCO may apply the deposit only to unpaid transaction sums, agreed fees and documented actual loss. COCO will provide an account of deductions and return the remaining balance under the accepted schedule, subject to unresolved transactions, claims and legal retention requirements. A blanket forfeiture unrelated to actual obligations is not permitted under this policy.
Late payment and suspension
If payment is not completed by the deadline, COCO may immediately suspend bidding and buyer-ID access, pause new orders and, where the accepted agreement and law permit, hold goods not yet dispatched. The Dealer remains responsible for amounts already committed and for documented loss caused by default.
Payment after suspension does not automatically restore access. COCO may first confirm cleared funds, resolve the affected transactions and repeat risk or identity checks.
Cancellation and returns
A successful auction bid is binding and cannot ordinarily be cancelled by the Dealer. Any exceptional cancellation must be agreed in writing and may require payment of upstream charges, agreed fees and documented loss.
For a wrong item or a material non-conformity attributable to COCO, the Dealer must preserve the item and packaging and contact us promptly with evidence. Return authorisation, destination, insurance, shipping and customs treatment will be confirmed in writing before return. Nothing in this policy removes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. Returns are not accepted solely because of resale performance, market movement or a change of preference.
Shipping, customs and export
Goods are dispatched only after required payment is confirmed, unless COCO expressly agrees otherwise. The Dealer normally bears international freight, insurance, import duties, taxes, customs brokerage and destination compliance. COCO handles the Japan-side export process and provides the commercial documents reasonably available for the shipment.
“Worldwide” availability is always subject to carrier service, sanctions, export controls, customs restrictions and product-specific rules. COCO may refuse or reroute a shipment that cannot lawfully or safely be completed. The Dealer must not nominate a prohibited person, destination or end use.
Loss, damage and insurance
The carrier or insurer is responsible only within its own contract, declared value, exclusions and coverage limits. If the Dealer declines or underinsures a shipment, loss beyond carrier compensation is normally borne by the Dealer after the contractually agreed transfer of risk. COCO will reasonably assist with a timely carrier or insurance claim but does not guarantee the claim outcome.
COCO remains responsible for its own proven breach or negligence to the extent required by the accepted contract and mandatory law.
Order confirmation controls
Before payment, the Dealer should check the item, currency, service fee basis, shipping charge, payment route, destination, insurance and any special return condition shown in the order confirmation. Contact mingyang851@gmail.com or lucky79@gmail.com before paying if any material term is missing or incorrect.
